Knowledge of the chakras will underpin all aspects of your life. Understanding your energetic body, and creating lasting mind/body/spirit connections are the essential foundations for all healing and self-discovery, and growth. The Chakra Way will introduce you to all aspects of the chakras and their connection to your yoga practice, and how meditation and breath work are essential to our well-being. Our lives comprise many varied relationships and we learn to use the beautiful ancient tools of the Chakra system, yoga and meditation to find balance, intelligence and awareness within our relationships with people, food, money, family and much more. Finding an understanding of your energy, thought and behaviour patterns and working through any blockages, will begin to heal the important relationships in life, especially the most important one - with yourself.

An overview of each of the seven chakras and their connection to your yoga practice. Our foundational yoga class will cover:
standing poses , balances, forward bends, backbends , twists , inversions and recuperative poses.
In depth study of the Muladhara chakra – looking in to how our formative years, our relationships with our families and communities have shaped our roots. This is where we find our sense of goundedness.
In depth study of the Swadisthana chakra – examining our relationship with our emotions, intimate relationships, creativity and sexuality and how we relate to people on a one to one basis.
In depth study of the Manipura chakra – exploring our personal power and our sense of self, our place in the world, our work lives and relationship with money.
In depth study of the Anahata chakra – looking at our relationship to loving and being loved, to compassion, empathy, and most significantly our ability to love and accept ourselves.
In depth study of the Vishuddha chakra – investigating our communication, how we relate to others, express ourselves and our sense of self worth.
In depth study of the Ajna chakra – feeling into our intuition and subtle senses, exploring our dream world, sight – insight and foresight – and decision-making abilities. Here lies our relationship with our inner wisdom and self-knowledge.
In depth study of the Sahasrara chakra – exploring our connections - to the Universal energy, our connection to the divine, our connection between inner life and outer reality and to each other, and our innate wisdom
One long "workshop" type class and one shorter class designed to access and balance each chakra. To do whenever, and as often as, you like. The yoga course takes you on a complete journey of your body!
A 30-40 minute guided relaxation, pranayama and meditation session designed to access and balance each chakra.
Detailed information on each chakra with questions and practical healing techniques.Downloadable and yours to keep forever! Each workbook is around 35 pages long but easy to read and digest.
You can explore an interesting or quirky subject that encompasses an aspect of the chakras. A 20 minute adventure in to the world of chakras and energy.
Each month we will meet for a 1-1.5 hour session focusing on one chakra and deep diving into the energy within this particular chakra for you. It may be that we will simply talk, and discuss the fine details of the energy that you hold in this chakra, finding healing modalities to help you find balance there. We may meditate, we may do a short yoga practice to release energy held within the body. We can also do more energy readings to resolve and answer anything that has come up for you. Our sessions together will be tailored to your requirements.
I am always available to chat or answer any questions. In the One-to-One course you will also be able to take a one-to-one yoga session with me via Zoom at any point during the 7 months of our time together.
Before we set off on our adventure, you will get a detailed Chakra Reading to assess your energetic body’s current state. This will give us our focus and guide our work to be specific to the issues that your Subtle Body is facing. You will benefit from knowing where we need to focus our energies during our time working together, and another reading at the end will allow you to see where your energies have shifted.

Your yoga practice will bring an awareness of the opportunities to affect each chakra physically and the restorative and meditation audio file will be yours to use whenever you need to focus on tuning in to your subtle body.
The pre-recorded Yoga classes (one long and one shorter for each chakra!) will also be available for you to do whenever suits you and as many times as you like!
Each month we address another chakra, building your understanding step-by-step.
You will gradually gain an understanding of your physical, spiritual and emotional life that will stay with you forever as a constant companion.
Taking this awareness of your chakras through your life is invaluable.
Learn to understand the energetic and philosophical aspects of yoga to take you much deeper into self-awareness.
This will translate into a much deeper understanding of your yoga practice and its relation to your holistic well-being.
The seminars introduce quirky and interesting facts that encompass a wider understanding of the chakras and our energy and subtle bodies.
During our time together each month we will focus on any imbalances that you hold in the chakra we are learning about. We can address any issues that are current for you.
I will hold a safe, nurturing space for you to explore your energetic body. To explore and resolve patterns of thought and behaviour and to find the tools that are best suited to you and your lifestyle and your needs.
I appreciate that we all have busy lives and sometimes life simply gets in the way, so I am happy to be flexible with time.
Since the chakras are all inter-connected we can go back and forth between them in discussion and make new discoveries together.

The word chakra means ‘wheel, ‘circle’ or ‘cycle’. There are seven main chakras that line up vertically along the spine from the base up to the crown of the head and can be described as spiral centres of energy within the body.
Channels known as a Nadi connects the seven chakras so that energy can flow between them. The energy that flows within the Nadi and within each of us is called Prana. In physical terms the Prana can be thought of as the spinal fluid of the soul and Nadi as the channels through which that energy flows. The chakras act like radio transmitters, sending our and receiving messages from our lives, emotions and activities. This information is stored at a cellular level. I am more than happy to discuss the quantum physics of the energetic body! It is an endlessly fascinating journey of discovery!
This means that we can use the chakras to diagnose our physical body, our emotions and feelings and how we deal with life, as well as our spiritual connections. We can also relate them to a sense, an element, a colour, a sound, a predominant emotion, and significantly, to the endocrine (hormonal) system.
Once we understand our chakras, we can use them as a guide or map to assist us detect issues ranging from subtle imbalances of emotion or attitude to very obvious physical imbalances that show up as pain, illness or disease. This understanding gives us the power of deep awareness of our selves and our mind/body/spirit connection.
If each chakra is seen as a spinning wheel or spiral it is clear that for the energy to flow each wheel needs to be moving in synchronicity with the other chakras.
If you were to construct a set of water wheels, for the water to flow easily each wheel would be moving at its own optimum rate. There might be a wheel that is blocked up with weeds or debris and is not moving or is too slow. There may be other wheels where the screws have become loose and they are moving too fast and inefficiently.
It is the same with the flow of energy through the chakras. One thing is for sure – once you have managed to clear out the debris and tighten any loose screws – you will feel the difference very clearly.
The chakras are sensitive sensors of energy – they both receive and send information. That information can be in the form of our thoughts, how we are treated, how we treat ourselves and others, how we perceive the world around us, the behaviours we have been taught and how we treat our beautiful bodies.
Using our yoga practice, meditation and with a new awareness of our energy along with several other techniques we can begin to understand and heal our energy centres so that we can live our lives in balance, in health and with purpose.
When we have nurtured this awareness the relationships in our lives - with partners, family, work, money, and most importantly, the SELF, will start to come into focus and balance.
Our deeper asana work and meditation will guide you towards healing and awareness of your energetic system. You will discover how each chakra reflects an essential aspect of our consciousness and relates to how we cope with life. Chakras embody our spirit in the physical form.
Discovering where you hold any limiting beliefs and begin to understand your negative thought and behaviour patterns can be hugely liberating!
Once we accept that our physical and emotional or energetic bodies are so closely aligned, then the practice of yoga becomes much more significant. If you struggle with stiff hips you might also struggle in your personal relationships, if you have on-going knee or ankle trouble it may be that you are conflicted with the direction of your life or maybe you had a difficult time with your family when you were growing up, if you have digestive issues this may well be connected to your levels of self-confidence.
We can use our yoga practice and the chakras to diagnose our spiritual and physical health and to work with awareness towards finding alignment, balance and harmony in our lives and in our bodies.
We will go deep into a specific yoga practice for each chakra and learn how to use your practice to re-direct your energy and start bringing your chakras back in to balance.
